Blue Man Group

Going to the Blue Man Group was like nothing that I have ever experienced in my life. At first it was really awkward because they didn't seem like they knew what they were doing but it got so much better as the night went on. We even had like a mini rave where there were giant glowing balls bouncing around, streamers flying, and awesome music blaring. That should seriously be Star City High Schools prom because it was epic. We were in there for an hour and a half but it felt as though it was only 30 minutes. Experiencing the Blue Man Group as the last thing of this amazing trip was a great way to end it all. I am so blessed and happy to have gone on this trip and it be my last one with the Star City Bulldog Regiment. Once I graduate, these memories that I have made on this Chicago trip with go with me where ever I go. As soon as the performance started I was amazed. The Blue Man Group was nothing like anything I have ever seen before. It was loud, fun, and bright!! It started out kind of weird because the men were strangely staring and looking around. Once they started playing it all changed. The Blue Man Group is very talented and very funny! I would recommend seeing them to anyone! Not only was the Blue Man Group performance amazing, but so was everything else we experienced this weekend! Now that our time on this trip is coming to an end I can say it has been very fun and has been a learning experience for not only me but everyone! I can't wait to share what I have seen and experienced with my family and friends when I get home! I've seen The Blue Man Group perform on TV once. It was more amazing and funny to see them. They all were amazing my favorite skit was the pipes. The ingeniousness of paint, music, and lighting was gorgeous. It was a great experience I look for

Chicago Trip - Lincoln Park Zoo

Lions and tigers and bears! Oh my! Well not tigers, but there were plenty of other animals to observe while we visited the Lincoln Park Zoo. Upon entering the zoo we first came across a plethora of all sorts of primates both big and small. As you continue your adventure you may find yourself in the safaris of Africa or in a rainforest full of all sorts of birds. Our time in the zoo was filled with laughs and smiles, and of course the "Look how cute!" From the mighty lions and bears to the beautiful snakes and frogs and of course the colorful birds, the Lincoln Park Zoo was a fun, knowledge fulfilling experience. - Johnathan B. - 12th Grade

Day 2

So it all started with a early morning rise to a good breakfast of pancakes and cereal at the hotel we are staying at. Later on we go to the Sears/Willis tower to go to sky deck which is literally 103 floors above the ground. In hind-site, it was only 1,353 feet, and that's not a whole lot until you go to the sky box where you can step out into a glass box that looked like it was ready to crack as soon as you stepped out onto it. Many people panicked when they stepped out on it but only two kids in our group decided they wouldn't do it.  We go back down a little after we all have had the opportunity to step out. We soon after went to millennium park, it is the prettiest park even though the skating rink was shut down. Our lunch was waiting for us there in the park and the food was pretty good if I do say so myself, and that says a lot since I am a picky eater.
