Chicago Trip Day 1 (bus ride)

Day 1 of our Chicago trip was mainly traveling. We started out at 5:30 patiently and eagerly waiting the arrival of our charter bus. The bus had about an hour and a half of a delay but other than that, there was smooth travels! The bus ride was full of movies, laughs, music, snacks, and naps. We had lots of fun and made lots of memories just on the bus ride there.
Off to Chicago!!
My favorite part of the trip was seeing the giant cross as we passed through Effingham, Illinois. It was breathtaking! We had so much fun cracking jokes, coloring, and just being with some of our favorite people. After about 13 hours of driving, we finally made it to our destination of Buca di Beppo. Buca di Beppo was probably the most interesting place I have ever eaten at. Some of those pictures were very... different to say the least! The food was great and made it fun with the "family dining experience." You got bowls of each course and grabbed as much as you wanted like you would at home. Personally, I loved it but I am an Italian food fanatic and could eat pasta for every meal!

After that, we went to our hotel and got settled in for the night. We are staying at The WestinYorktown, which is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. If the rest of this trip goes as well as Day 1 did, even with the delay, this trip will go great! - Patience Rushing 11th grade
