Day 3

Science museums are typically one of two things:  dry or amazing.  I assure you, this one was the latter.  On more than one occasion, I was amused and surprised by the quality and quantity of the exhibits.  For example, the renditions of tornadoes in the weather section, the loud exclamations of Tesla's prime invocations, and the amazing ingenuity of soldiers in the greatest war of all time.  There is not just enjoyable history and fantastic renditions of science, there is an underlying theme of the ingenious nature of people and the amazing feats of the universe.  The Museum of Science and Industry was a tremendous experience, even in the limited time span we had;  in this museum, hours are as minutes, and 3 was not nearly enough. - Zack Bailey, 11th grade

There just wasn't enough hours in the day to do either one of the things planned, icluding the mall. This was no ordinary mall, let me tell you. Seven stories of absolute wonder. Many were looking forward to the food, or to the essentailly foreign atmosphere, but all of us got to spend a few hours with sure joy. The sales reps were all very inviting and friendly, which made it very difficult to turn them down for some items. Several of the students enjoyed the sweet treats of the gigantic candy shop, Candy- ality and the delicious smoothies from the Red Manjo.

This city is definitely the Windy City. There are several different delicacies that we don't get to experience in Arkansas including the honking and some road rage of the street folks. Many of the people are actually very kind and generous in giving directions and ingaging in conversations.  - Savanna Trout, 12th grade
